Abstract

As any field of human action, design is constantly being transformed from the practice of those who are professionally engaged in this activity. So, as life itself, design is continuously moving. Evolving from the interaction with other fields of human action and their modes of knowledge production, design is trespassed by an ongoing process of becoming. We could summarize some of the 'stages' that marked significant inflections into the field, marks identified and recognized by the professional community as boundaries between the different periods amidst design history. At the PDC 2016, we would like to present the process of analysis carried out from all the singular research projects developed by LaDA researchers under the main topic of "Design in Movement". We propose to do this in two moments: Firstly, an exhibition to present our programs, research questions, experiments and interventions. And secondly, a design game to be held with the participants of the conference aims to bring up discussions on what is the role of design in a very complex world.

By using the interaction navigator and its guiding questions, one can reflect on personal journeys and find ways to improve such journeys over time. The practice of using the Interaction Navigator in different language courses proved to make a notorious pull for tech solutions to scaffold learning experiences. In this exhibition, we invite participants to use the tool to reflect on their own practices in order to find possible "pulls for tech" for improving their daily practices.
