This working paper present the qualitative computer program KIT ( Kvalitativ, Interview og Terapianalyse). KIT is a computer tool in the analyzing process of qualitative data. Carl Verner Skou has developed KIT in Center of Qualitative Methods Developed at Aarhus University. At the Institute of Social Science at Roskilde University graduated students and Ph.D students has through out the last years showed a great deal of interest in using the program. Therefore conspicuous demands and needs are raised for a short introduction to the program. KIT is not a computer program to be offered to all kind of qualitative interviews and analyses. Especially projects and analytical designs with an explorative characteristic will find KIT a useful tool. KIT can be used in the interpretations and analytical process of understanding interviews. KIT is different to other more traditional methods of analyzes interviews ex. using transcription of the interviews, by it's use of sound, by that I mean that KIT offers a understand of the qualitative interview by listening to the interview and thereby the program are giving a special attention and room for the sounds, feelings and intonations in the interview. The structure of the paper is first to give a short presentation of some of the main concepts in the program. Second to present some reflections over problems and advantages in the use of the program.
