Abstract

In this paper, we describe the work in progress to develop strategies for participation of learners in virtual learning communities as a contribution from the didactic side to the design of participatory educational environments. The work is carried out in the framework of two ongoing European projects; "Intercultural Community Projects in a European Context" within the European SOCRATES-Programme and "TEECH-in Transactive Exploration of European Cultural Heritage - in Intercultural Teams" within the European CONNECT- Programme.
