The Relevance of Showcases for the Participative Improvement of Business Processes and Workflow Management

Abstract

Participatory design and continuous business improvement can be brought together in a framework which presents a set of different phases in a cyclic order. In relation to these phases a prototypical participation schedule for the introduction and continuous improvement of workflow-management-applications is presented. For the support of the participative process the use of prototypes and a framework for the participation-supporting modeling method SeeMe is described. The paper concludes with the description of an approach for a framework of an extended visualization method.
